After many years in the corporate "real world", sisters Diane Garrison and Linda Ragsdale decided to create their own, non-traditional business sanctuary.

Their company, Mixed Nuts, LLC, created, designed and manufactureed an array of whimsical, "crazy cardboard" products promoting a positive sense of self through creativity.

Originally located in their great-grandmothers house in Old Hickory, Tennessee, Diane and Linda were a "new spirit" of entrepreneurs. They gave back to the community by providing workshops and products to families that left domestic violence environments and underprivileged students.

Their supplier of cardboard, Steve Baughman and owner of Tri-Star Packaging Inc. believed in Diane and Linda’s cause and in April 2003 acquired the product line. Not concerned about past successes, he is focusing on this spirit to create a better future for our children. A portion of every sale is donated to Crafty Chair-Ubs Foundation, a non-profit, charitable, organization founded by Diane and Linda to promote projects that develop a positive self image in children.
